The Process

The Process
You take the most superior Scottish tweed combine it with unrivalled British craftsmanship and add a contemporary twist – the result is Twisted Tweed.

From the moment we started one thing was clear. If you’re going to do it then do it properly. Starting at the mill, nestled on the banks of Teviot Water in the Scottish Borders, where our tweed is woven the components of our caps travel several hundred miles before reaching you but never once outside of the UK. We’re proud that all of our caps are 100% British made.

The Process

We’re passionate about working with the standard bearers of the art of beautifully crafted materials from our weavers in Scotland to our cap makers in Yorkshire. Contemporary overcheck colours have been created by the deliberate twisting of the threads to create bespoke patterns unique to our caps. This combined with our signature linings, designed by Sylvia Kerr, in complimentary colourways ensures our hand finished products are given a modern twist on what remains a traditional product.

The best thing about what we do at Twisted Tweed is knowing that we’re playing our small part in keeping this industry alive. It’s part of our heritage.
